During the summer, a good option for those who do not have time to go to the beach or the pool,

do not like or do not want to be exposed to the sun – or simply do not get color – is the self-tanner.
The lotion, which comes in different versions – cream, gel or spray -, is the great ally of white
women who do not feel comfortable during the season.

By replacing exposure to the sun, self-tanners help prevent photoaging and skin cancer.
– Lotions are composed of dihydroxyacetone (DHA), a sugar that reacts with the skin's keratin,
producing a brownish substance, melanoidin. The action is totally healthy and does not harm the
skin – explains dermatologist Miriam Sabino.

But be careful: some precautions are necessary to avoid orange spots or skin tones.
Before applying the product throughout the body, spread it on a small, inconspicuous area to test
possible allergic reactions and check the result of self-tanner on your skin tone.
– Tanning can have different effects on those who have lighter skin or non-uniform tones (one
region is darker than the other). Remember that the shade should be golden and not orange.
Another tip is to carry out daily applications of the product, in addition to uniform skin tone
with an exfoliation before the first application.
